No wonder Party City is closing so many stores.
I am on an adult kickball league and we are having a theme costume game where we all agreed on dressing up like knights, kings and elfs ect. I went to a party city in fredericksburg Va to purchase several costumes with about a 400.00 dollar budget.
The whole back area of the store where the costumes were was all cluttered with boxes and ladders and junk making it hard to get around.A lady walked by and said I couldn't be back there,so I asked if the stuff was for sale she said yes but that she would have to get it for me.well after she left I was just looking at different things when she came back over and said due to saftey issues I couldn't be back there.
I explained how am I supposed to see what they have if I can't look at what they have, she said tell me what you want and ill get it.at this point I was getting mad and said well if you would put all this junk on the floor in the back room you could have customers buying stuff. So I told her that I would just take my buisness elsewhere.I will never go to party city again.

Itโs not the employeeโs desicion or fault. Itโs company policy.
Yes now everyone can shop at walmart.Where the customer service is the best.
The "back room" you were in was actually employee-only area. It's the costume room.
You pick which costumes you want off of a wall of pictures and we get it for you to try on. Yes, there are a ton of boxes and ladders in the back room, yes it is hard to get around, however employees know where things are and are trained to get costumes from them for you.
PC employee answers above w attitude smug destain thet you'd even question their idiotic methods, that's tge type of *** that puts companies out of business, oh snap...it's happening as we speak
No wonder the Yonkers, NY store is closing. I was always the only customer in the store whenever I was there. Great penny candy selection, though.
