I believe that Party City should sell their themed costumes year around. I know of several churches having VBS and themed activities during the month of July. I looked online for a mullet wig for a themed VBS at our local church my local store said they had two. Went into store thats 35 minutes from my house and looked then asked manager she immediately said no its not Halloween costumes will not be out. I know of a couple more that went in for 50s theme and she treated them the same way. I know people have themed birthday parties and schools have themed parties as well so I think ut would be a good idea to sell all year

I have not received any response from the manager of the store on Brodie Ln. here in Austin Texas. I would appreciate it if they would call to resolve this issue.

I bought a graduation balloon at a party city. It was like ten days before the party so I didn't have it blown up at time of the purchase. The day of the party I took it to another Party City close to my house. They said that they would have to charge me $10.00 to blow up the balloon since I didn't have the receipt . They could tell it was their merchandise I got the feeling that they were accusing me of stealing the balloon (which by the way were behind the counter.) I don't appreciate being treated like this. appreciate this treatment

Hello, Trying to put in return request for 2 items from my order on 5/4. When I go to pull up the order by inputting the order #, it doesnt find it. Yes the billing zip code i put in is correct as well. I need to print out a return label for shipping my items Id like refunded back for. They are still in packages and unopened/great condition.

Problem with local store

Dear Party City, I would like to give information about situation at a local store. I live in Redding California. I went to our local Party City to purchase items. While there I was the ONLY customer at the store. I had retrieved my few items and stood in the designated area for check out. There was a young woman working on blowing up ONE balloon, and another woman sitting at a desk next to her. After five minutes I walked toward the balloon area and asked BOTH women of one of them were working the registers. The woman at the desk said, she will help you in a moment. I moved back to the checkout line and waited another few minutes. The young woman (employee) then walked to the register and tried to log in but then said she needed to re-boot the register. I asked if that was the only register she could use. She said yes. After waiting another 5 minutes the register finally came up. The young woman still could not get into her register. I asked if the young woman of the other woman at the desk was a manager, she said yes, but shes on a break. The young woman then used her head set to call another employee who was stocking shelves and asked for the code to unlock the register. It was given to her and she proceeded to scan my few items. (The manager NEVER acknowledged anything going on even though she could clearly hear everything transpiring!). At that point I had paid, but the register then did NOT open so she could give me my change. Both the young woman and I were frustrated at the situation. I asked her why the manager (woman still sitting at the desk) could not help her. She stated that they are poorly managed and get little to no help. (Which was very clear to me. When speaking to the manager, the manager was dismissive and seemed very bothered by the employees interruption.) Time is ticking... I have now been in the store for 20 minutes for just a few small items. The young woman then called the other employee who came up to the register. (A young man.) He then tried to get the register working, and changed the paper roll, pushed a few buttons and the register finally opened so I could get my change. The young woman apologized for the extended period of time it took to help me. Mind you, I was the only customer in the store, the whole time! I asked her why it was so hard to get help. She responded that the store only has two employees on the schedule so they are often alone and do not get help. The manager at this location was NO HELP to her employee, further more, her indifference and the fact that she acted bothered by any interruption was frustrating, as a customer watching the whole interaction. This was NOT the employees fault. This was the manager and stores fault for NOT taking care of their customer and making sure the employee has tools and ability to do their job! There should have been someone at the register. The register should have been ready for the employee and if there was a problem with that register. There were 5 other registers available. The manager when approached by the customer should have not been dismissive. The manager should have acted to get the employee to directly move to the register, or move there herself. The manager should not have been dismissive to the employee, especially in front of a customer! The employee should not feel like their employee/management is no help. I own a business. Customers are my life blood. This manager, even though she was present and clearly seen was providing NO service to customers or employees!!! I have three managers. If any one of my managers had done this I would have fired them! If a customer walks into my business I value them and want their experience to be good. I realize that not everyday do things go smoothly, problems arise, but handle them appropriately!!! I have the opinion that fussy customers can help us become better. If we listen and apply what we learn from them we can improve. I hope this letter does not fall on deaf ears. I hope it can help you make improvements to our local store. I hope that your manager can learn to be kind and helpful. And I hope that your other stores are not run the same way.

Poor service

Upon arriving to the outside pick up at the Scarborough Kennedy location, I spent 50 minutes standing in the hot sun for curbside pickup only to have an associate come out with 2 of the items missing. This resulted in more waiting for the missing items. Not even an apology. Terrible customer service

DI made an online purchase for curbside pickup at the Chelmsford, MA location at 5pm on Monday, 12/14. The purchase was for a black tablecloth needed for a funeral the next morning.

I called the store because while my account was charged I did not receive a confirmation email from Party City.

The employee told me purchase confirmation emails dont get sent and only pickup emails are sent. I never received my pickup email (should have arrived by 7pm that evening). The store has no record of my purchase. The money left my account and I did not have the product for the funeral the next morning.

Compliment to David at Daly City location

I had an issue with my balloon delivery on Saturday 5/15. I called numerous times and everyone said theyd help remedy my issue but they actually did nothing. I called again on Wednesday 5/19 and David at the Daly City party city location provided me with outstanding customer service and not only helped me but made up for where the other employees lacked. He should know his efforts and care for us job is noticed. Thank you.

I came to buy Mothers Day balloons it was 11:30 and they told me that I had to wait until 1;00 pm to get my balloons because all call in balloons come first. They had 4 people blowing up balloons for call in people and no one to service the walk in customers. To add Jamie is the manager she refused to service me and refused to give me her managers phone number on top of that she was rude.

To whom it may concern,

My name is Andy Leveille, I was trying to shop one of the party city location near my house in Lanham Maryland 20707. I arrived to the store on Friday evening at 8:45 pm and on the door it says that the branch closes at 9:00 PM.

Unfortunately I wasnt able to get in the store, I knocked on the door for the manager. This young gentleman name Quincy came to the door and informed me that they had the registers shut down at 8:30 due to them being short staffed. It was highly disappointing and disrespectful.

I really felt bad for getting there that late, but not giving me access to the store because I was there a few minutes before closing hours is highly unacceptable. I would love to get a feedback from you all to understand if thats how PC operates or is it the incompetence of the staff at that branch.

I can't believe what happened to my daughter's 14th birthday

I went to the store in Modesto California that's on McHenry avenue and I took in some gift cards that I wanted to put in some balloons with confetti for my daughter for her 14th birthday I took two $100 Starbucks gift cards and put them in the balloons I brought in 275 cinnabon gift cards a $300 mainland gift card and a $500 guess gift card all from the mall and my daughter was was popping them and I was looking for the $500 gift card and it was missing I also put $100 ask the ladies to put $400 bills in with the gift cards in the balloons that my daughter was going to pop and there was only two $100 bills I cannot believe the lady the manager who helped me who was supposed to be putting that stuff in my daughter's balloons they came up missing and she is the manager of the store I cannot believe that my daughter got ripped off for her birthday that's $700 that my daughter lost out on for her birthday for her 14th birthdaybirthdayi would NOT RECOMMEND SHOPPING HERE IN MODESTO CALIFORNIA AT ALL THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED

No resolution. I was horrified after the manager released video footage of my purchase. He continued to email me with assertions regarding my intentions for the item, bullying me to drop my case.I never would’ve imagined a billion dollar company would go to such lengths to protect $4.00.

3 years ago at the Regency location in Jacksonville, FL I was humiliated by a Party City manager when trying to return a $4 item. The manager released video footage of me buying the item in hopes of proving his assertion that I intended to alter it post-purchase. While I am aware that corporate cannot remedy this situation due to the store being a franchise, I wanted to let you know that I havent forgotten about the terrible treatment I received at the hands of your franchisee.

Complaint about a Party City Employee

I was in the Falls Church, VA (5522 Leesburg Pike) store with my mother and two daughters on Saturday, February 6 around 11:00 a.m. to pick up a balloon order and shop for birthday party favors, when I began to experience an urgency to use the restroom that was absolutely an emergency.

I found the store restrooms and saw the posted sign that restrooms were not open to the public. The store policy was clear so I left the store to find somewhere to relieve myself. After trying three places near Party City to no avail I went back to the store and attempted once again to use the restroom. When I knocked on the door to the ladies room someone replied that they would be out in a minute.

I waited and though I was about to wet myself and was desperate, continued to hold it. The woman in the restroom, who I now know was an employee by the name of Selena, came out and told me I couldn't come in. I begged her to let me in and tried the best I could in the midst of my desperation to explain myself. She adamantly refused me entry and blocked my way in.

By this point I was in tears begging and pleading. Selena pushed the door shut behind her, pushed past me, and walked away from me as I was asking to speak to the manager to get permission for my emergency. I told Selena I was about to wet my pants, which I did, in front of other customers, right there next to the restroom of Party City. I was absolutely humiliated and was crying openly.

As she turned her back on me she said over her shoulder " go to *** lady." Selena was very rude and cruel and completely lacked compassion and decency.

I honestly believe that any store policy recognizes an exception and if an employee is trained to enforce a policy in this manner, this store has no business serving the public. My experience at your store was absolutely horrifying and I can only hope that no one else has to endure the treatment I received from Selena.
